Lithography Systems

EUV lithography uses light with a wavelength of just 13.5 nanometers — nearly X-ray — to print circuit patterns on silicon wafers with extraordinary precision. This enables chipmakers to manufacture transistors measured in single-digit nanometers.

EUV Light Source

We generate extreme ultraviolet light by firing a high-powered laser at tiny droplets of molten tin 50,000 times per second, creating plasma that emits 13.5nm light — the shortest wavelength used in commercial lithography.
